BBM combines the best features of communication platforms and social media services into one app. In essence, BlackBerry Messenger brings some of BlackBerry's best software features into the Android operating system. BlackBerry fans have spent years clamoring for a BlackBerry experience on Android smartphones. Nothing has come closer to succeeding on that front than BBM, and the app is quite a powerful package anyone can download today.

Communication Is Key Here

First and foremost, BBM allows its users to communicate with each other in seconds. Text messaging, voice calling, and video chatting are all supported between BBM users. Users won't pay a dime to utilize these core features. When communicating with other users, the overall experience is seamless and straightforward. Audio and video quality during calls is excellent, and extra features make text messaging especially enjoyable on BBM.

Unsurprisingly, BBM supports both one-on-one conversations and group chats. Users can send thousands of stickers to each other, and more stickers can be downloaded. Broadcasting is a useful feature, which allows a user to send a message to all of his or her contacts. Also, BBM lets users send images, videos and other files within conversations. It doesn't hurt that the BBM app itself is user friendly and designed quite well.

Abundant Privacy and Security Controls

BlackBerry has always touted its security and privacy software. Fortunately, those controls shine through on BlackBerry Messenger for Android. When messages are sent to contacts, users see, in real-time, as they're delivered and read. A user will know when contacts are responding to a message as well. BBM includes private chats and the ability to connect with others through a PIN, instead of a phone number. On top of that, messages can be deleted before they're read, and messages can be shared with an expiration timer.

A Dash Of Social Media

BBM gives each user their own feed to post status, images and videos. A user can customize their feed to display everything they want to share with friends. For many users, the feed might seem redundant to Facebook and other social media platforms. It still gives users an opportunity to connect and share things with each other, though.

Is BBM right for everyone?

BlackBerry Messenger succeeds by offering core features and quite a few extras in a sleek user interface. In the end, users can pick and choose which features they want to utilize and ignore the rest. The communication and privacy features are worth the download alone, but other features may go unused by the average person. Still, BBM is an incredible app that suffers from few shortcomings and issues.

Improve productivity by communicating with BBM for Android devices.

The BlackBerry Messenger application was popularized on the titular PDA phones of yesteryear. One of the best features of these phones, the messenger application, is now available for Android users. It lets multiple people stay connected across different platforms.

The messenger always runs in the background, so there's no need to open it. It provides alerts when messages are sent or received. Users are identified with PIN codes. From there, BBM has a number of high-quality features to keep people connected. One of these features is group chat. It allows up to 30 different people to communicate in one thread.

BlackBerry developed BBM as a full, feature-rich messaging platform for everyone. The app is available on most mobile operating systems with dozens of features. For instance, Retract allows users to delete sent messages before they've been read. A timer can be added to messages so that they disappear after a set period of time.

BBM lets users chat with each other whenever they need to with a focus on extra security features. Each user will find themselves in control of their messages and interactions with other BBM users. Without a doubt, BBM is a solid security-focused messaging platform for smartphones and tablets.
